Coaching Supervision

Writing Coaching Notes

1:1 Coaching supervision to develop and support your practice

Whether you’re facing challenging calls, tricky clients, confidence crises, or looking to develop your coaching business, having a coach supervisor can provide vital support for you, your client, and your coaching business.

I offer supportive, compassionate and straight-talking coaching supervision designed to facilitate your growth and development.

What to expect in coaching supervision

In our supervision sessions, coaches can expect a collaborative and supportive environment where you can openly discuss your coaching practice and bring any challenges that come up for you.

Our sessions may focus on:

  • Reflective practice: This is where you can explore what worked well and what could be improved in sessions. This can help you gain deeper insights into your coaching methods and client interactions.
  • Feedback and guidance: With your permission, I can provide constructive feedback and guidance, offering a different perspective which may develop your skills and approach.
  • Ethical considerations: Together, we can navigate any ethical issues, ensuring adherence to professional standards and handling dilemmas appropriately.
  • Professional growth: We can focus on your professional development, exploring new theories, techniques, and methodologies that can enhance your practice

Why work with a coach supervisor?

As coaches, we’re likely to recommend coaching to everyone we meet. Just as we believe everyone benefits from coaching, every coach can benefit from supervision.

Coaching can be an incredibly fulfilling career but sometimes an isolating experience. It is not usually possible to have those watercooler chats about a challenging coaching call you’ve just had.

This is where supervision can help.

Regular coaching supervision can offer the benefits of:

Enhanced skills: Let’s hone in on your coaching skills, introduce new techniques, and refine existing methods.

Increased confidence: With regular feedback and support, let’s boost your confidence in your abilities and approach.

Ethical integrity: Supervision can help you feel ethically grounded and able to address challenging situations with professionalism and integrity.

Personal growth: Supervision fosters personal growth, helping you to become more self-aware and reflective.

Improve client outcomes: Supervision can lead to better coaching outcomes for clients as you become more equipped to handle diverse situations and provide high-quality support.

Working with me

As your coach supervisor, you can expect integrity-led, psychologically safe sessions and total space to explore whatever is coming up for you. We’ll contract together to ensure you get what you need from the session. Whether you’re looking to reflect and reach personal insights through coach-led questions or asking for a more directive approach and sharing tools and resources, you’re in charge.

I’m here to support you and whatever you bring to the session; however, you may wish to choose a supervisor who offers shared experience. My coaching specialities include neurodiversity, trauma-responsive, and recovery coaching. I also focus on confidence, performance, and career coaching with creatives and introverts in mind.

As your supervisor, you can expect care, compassion, and some straight-talking and dry humour!

One or six?

I believe the most effective supervision comes through an ongoing relationship, as this helps to build trust, psychological safety and rapport. This is why I recommend booking a block of coaching supervision sessions. However, if you want to try coaching supervision, I offer one-off sessions.

So what actually is supervision?

Supervision is a safe, reflective space for coaches to develop competencies, capabilities and confidence in their work and business.

For ICF coaches, you can use 10 hours of coaching supervision to contribute to your ICF Core Competency CCEs needed for credentialing.
